A decent (16A toggle) "break before make" dpdt switch on each channel
would work fine if your amps are both solid state (as in this case).
Not suitable for valve amps - they need a load.

You can't harm a normal SS amp by disconnecting the speakers.
Connecting the output of both amps together would probably blow (or
hopefully trip) one or both. That's why you need make-before-break
switches.

We aren't talking about Krells delivering 10 amps here!
