I had an old Kyocera receiver which at the time of purchase was a top of the line receiver. It was 100 watts and did an ok job when I went to the B&W's or at least I thought. The Yamaha's power was a night and day difference with the B&W's and it was like getting new speakers. Much improved imaging and better dynamics. Make sure you really read the manual as there is a ton of stuff to this receiver. I hooked the SB into the CD input both analog and digital coaxial and can switch source with the remote which is handy for comparing.
