I don't use any on my audio equipment. I assume that the manufactures have done good research and have the correct amount of line filtering in their AC/DC stages. (Look at the work Sean put into the Transporter)
However, for computer equipment I almost always use Liebert (or similar) on-line UPS systems. They use full AC -> DC -> AC conversion for the best possible isolation. I have added this type of equipment to audio systems before, but it wasn't really for audio quality.
