This has been discussed to death I'm sure, but I've had such an awesome experience I have to share.
Last night I finally plugged in and configured an old DEQ2496 I had laying around, and ran it through an auto EQ process using a ECM8000 mic. Wow. I knew the speaker setup in my room was less than ideal, but I had no idea how much of an impact it was having. This is, hands down, the single best improvement I have ever made to my system. I was up till 3AM listening to old favorites as if they were new... and I can't wait to get back home tonight and continue where I left off. I've played around with the Inguz stuff, and this has been exciting enough that I just might have to spend the dough to upgrade my server so I have enough horsepower to run that plug-in. Forget all the other audiophile bull... room correction over everything else! This is the kind of dramatic improvement that anyone would appreciate.
