This is not a purest audio listening only approach, but why not feed
the digital out from the TP to the Onkyo 905 then let the Onkyo DSP
handle the bass functions. In this way it doesn't matter if you listen
to music with the TP or a DVD, the bass is going to the sub. This will
also take the bass stress off the Onkyo 905 and your main speakers.
