Let's aside for a moment the debate of what the best s/pdif output circuit is.
If you're doing this because you think the SB3's output circuit is inferior to a transformer coupled output, wouldn't you want to bypass the internal circuit? Or can a transformer somehow repair whatever is wrong with the signal?
