I didn't realize you were in the UK. Although the MS1s are the best in
the US at this price point, as they decrease Grados occasional Grato
highs, with the distribution and pricing channels outside the US, the
choice is really a no brainer. They should be much cheaper for you.
Just be aware they can take a couple weeks to ship and that the come
with the sr60s comfy pads. Personally, because of the highs issues at
the lower sr level, I think the MS1s generally out perform the
sr-60/80/125 and while not as technically capable as the 325 in
especially detail and speed, I find the MS1s more listenable. Usually I
think of the MS1 as halfway between the 60 and the 225 (and the 225 half
way between the MS1 and the RS1). The MS1s are really one of the
greatest price/performance deals in audio. And although they grow with
an amp, they sound pretty good straight out an iPod too.
