I don't think measurements are the total story. My receiver, a CA 640R, has direct stereo using Crystal CS43122 24/192 DACs. Measurements compared with Mike's above are <0.006% or >90dB. (I don't even know what these figures mean and would appreciate an explanation.) When I switch between the receiver & the SB3 conversion, to my untrained ears, the receiver has a slightly fuller sound, the SB3 a little laid back. I enjoy both & still can't figure out which I prefer.
