No difference in terms of "hi-fi" sound quality, but IMHO you need to wire either the SB to the router OR the Router to the server running SqueezeCenter. Having two wireless hops (server-router-SB) can work OK but is not 100% reliable in network throughput terms and you can get dropouts.
For my SB I run everything wired because I can.
