Laburum,glad you're enjoying the new SB3. i too used to have one connected to an external NOS dac and found the sound very acceptable. my cd player then was a Linn Ikemi,a very good sound source. around this time(6-8 months )ago Linn produced two new products :KLIMAX DS and Akurate DS players and i auditioned both. they were both excellent wired streaming players. Naim Audio has now produced another machine the HDX streamer. these machines are "high-end" players and have a matching "premium" price..... Klimax= £10k Akurate=£4.5k
