I am sure you are right, but some good HiDef classical stuff is
starting to come out, and that is my interest.

An Audigy card beats the Quad 77  - such is the pace of technology.
Quad will fit an electrical S/PDIF out for about £50, and I could feed
it into my Beresford DAC, but it's not worth the hassle.

I was hoping they would launch a new MacMini with Blu-ray (a MacMedia?)
- but not yet.

So, as I said, it's the interim I'm looking too. I retire from the Army
(aged 60) next year. I will see what looks sensible once I am settled.

You never know, I might even achieve by boyhood ambition of owning some
Quad Electrostatics.
