I don't have a problem with the SB per se, but being someone who enjoys
listening to music and has had the pleasure of that experience
increased by the purchase of a couple of SBs I was curious about the
potential for improving the sound quality of the device, if that is
possible, without investing mega bucks.

I wouldn't class myself as an audiophile, and most if not all of you
would put me to shame with your indepth knowledge of the subject.

My level of scepticism rocketed when I read the explanation of what a
"purifier" does. Yes, they may work, but logic and scepticism go hand
in hand in engineering - and before anyone reminds me I agree that
being an engineer and applying the same principles to audio, whilst not
inappropriate, doesn't necessarily tell the whole story.

So, I think I'll continue to enjoy my SBs as they are until I have the
opportunity to compare a modded and unmodded together.

Thanks for your help guys - as always on these forums people are very
helpful, especially to us novices. Have a good Christmas.

Mike
