This is what I thought as well SF are known for the quality of the mid and high frequency reproduction. We can all vouch for the good quality of the Slim gear so it has to be either/or recordings, amp, room or dare I say it - cables. Both of the amplifiers I've borrowed are well respected, The Leema even at £3k has won many awards here in the UK and is the current lovely in that price range. If it is recordings, well, there is nothing else for it I'm going to have to start liking progressive jazz. One album I've listened to a lot is Madonna's Ray of light, most of this sounds absolutely superb apart from Frozen which is quite hard on the ears. I am a cable skeptic although there is no doubt that a poor cable can be detrimental I don't believe you have to send loads to get a decent one. norm (Jez) -- norman12 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ norman12's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56992
