Well, I won't enumerate all the characteristics of the SF speakers...
In a few words, they are speakers made to nicely reproduce human voices
and wood-made instruments. So that you can almost "see" the wood of the
instruments. They are one of the most fatigue-free speakers you can
find: you can listen to hours of uninterruptible music without any
fatigue.
Bah, I guess, I can't be objective about them : they sound exactly like
I would like a speaker to sound...

The Grand Pianos are "popular" speakers, compared to other SF ones.
This means they tend to seem a little less transparent than the other
models. It doesn't mean that they are "dull" or something. Simply that
the mid-highs are "slower" than the more expensive models. As a result,
they tend to "disappear" less (you can more easily locate the boxes).
This is what I thought at first.
In fact, they are simply more sensitive to room acoustics : you need to
locate them very precisely, and the sweet point is somehow narrower than
the other models.
On the other hand, GPs reproduce more nicely electrical instruments
(guitar) than the other models. They tend to exaggerate less the
various distortions added to these instruments (added on purpose by the
musicians).

In my living room, they need to be placed at about 70cm from behind,
and at least 40cm from the side walls. The angle is important : very
slightly outside the middle position.

I'm not very good at detailed descriptions. (moreover, in English). But
I will answer any questions you need. :)
