Hi Guys, thanks for all your suggestions. I've been quite busy last week so sorry for the lack of posts.
Well, my sibilance problem seems to be cured! This weekend I borrowed a Lyngdorf TDA-2200, this particular version does not have the ADC board fitted so I used the SPDIF output from the transporter bypassing the internal DAC. Things were obviously different from the get-go, first album up - Pater Gabriel's So - beefy, controlled bass lines, marvelous vocals and while I could still hear the recorded sibilance they didn't jump out at me as before. I need to do some more investigation as I want to know what item or combinations has been at fault here. I'll post back with my findings (if any).
