Darren,

I don't have a problem with the content of his original post. I don't 
agree/find it unlikely/whatever, but he's quite at liberty to say it.

What touched a nerve with me was how precious he got when Sean didn't 
rave about what he had to say.

If one is going to fly in the face of (albeit conventional) accepted 
wisdom, then the least one can expect is a healthy dose of scepticism.
