While I don't agree with Teros on the technical aspects I defend his right to be annoyed at the tone of replies. Of course, sometimes people get offended when no-one else is and that bears pondering about. (In this case, it is also ErikM's opinion and my opinion that some of the tone here is unnecessary.)
Personally I think audiophilia has more to do with sociology and psychology than anything else. I believe achieving sound quality is an engineering and scientific problem. I leave art to musical artists. But we should acknowledge that scientific knowledge advances over time, sometimes dramatically. It's not about which facts or opinions are right that I'm talking about, it's about being civil. None of this stuff is that important.
