Hi, I use a mix of SB3 and duets w recievers.
I noticed that the ouput signal of the two is different, my recivers are lower than my SB3's. Both of them are a lot lower than my tape deck, CD, vcr and radio. The later I used to listen on with a volume setting 3, my SB3's require a setting 4-5 give the same volume, where as the recievers need a setting of 6. All on the same amplifier, I switched back and forth between the inputs and there is no diference on what input I use in my amplifier. As you can understand this is quite annoying when switching from my "old" units two my new (slimdevices). I have noticed the pre-amp setting for each player, which can be used to normalize the difference among the players, but it can only reduce the volume. I would like to have a setting were I can also increase the volume. This is even more wanted after that I adjusted replaygain (only taging of course) with foobar2000 to my music library. Replaygain where reducing most of my album between 3-10db. Which gave my already to low volume even lower. A player such a foobar2000 has a preamp that can increase OR decrease the volume of all music.
