Well kind of - the limiting factor is not the geekport circuitry in a
direct sense, but rather the choice of headphone amp, which was
constrained by geekport requirements (specifically it needed a standby
mode where its outputs would go high-Z). However, that does not mean
the RCA outputs are preferable to drive headphone. They are coupled
with relatively small capacitors so you'll get no bass, and there is
very little power, so it'll be distorted too.

Transporter's has split power rails, so its outputs are driven without
caps - they should be OK in that respect, although as I said I have not
tried to characterize them with a headphone load.  

Nobody's tried it yet? Somebody "borrowed" my HD-600 so I'll have to
find something else suitable...
