Sean, perhaps your calculations are based on the HD600 impedance, because I just tried it and it sounds great. (The RCA pre-outs from the Krell KAV-300i sound very similar BTW.) For sure, there is zero sign of any 6db per octave roll off below 497Hz, and "no bass" is a description light years away from what I'm hearing. In fact the headphone jack is mid-forward by comparison.
I'd be surprised if there weren't several PX-100 owners floating around at SD, so give it a try yourself. FYI I have a 'Slim Devices' SB3 if that makes a difference.
