Not sure, but there has been some problems with some firmware and flac. I also had a problem, sent it in as a bug and it got fixed. It had to do with the "comression" level the flac was made in. If its "5" there shouldnt be a problem. This is from my ,bad, memory, I dont use flac really... I have SC 7.1
