I'm not sure what would cause this, but there are a some reset
procedures that we can try which might help.  

1. In Squeezecenter, go to settings, then player settings, and click
Reset player preferences

2. Press and hold power until the unit resets. Then immediately when
the Logitech logo appears, press "add". The screen should briefly say
"Factory reset". This clears all internal flash settings.

3. Again, press and hold power. This time when the logo appears, press
"1" on the remote. The screen should read "programming xilinx" for a
few seconds, then it will boot up. This reprograms the system's
programmable logic circuitry.

If all of that fails then I am afraid a warranty repair may be
necessary.
