Me, having been around high-end gear for many years, I'm thinking Wadia, ML, Krell et al for great onboard DACs, not Marantz, but others are very happy with the SB3 DAC. YMWV :) Any decent hi-fi shop will let you audition the equipment (you'll pay a deposit) in your home, on your setup. If it doesn't, take your money elsewhere. It doesn't matter if it sounds fantastic in the shop if it's terrible in your system.
