I thought I was the only "audiophile" to not be impressed with 24/96
sound! I have found much better sound improvement from fairly simple and
relatively inexpensive tweaks. For me, substituting solid core silver
wiring in my t-amp has improved the sound of my "paltry" 16 bit music
collection to a similar degree as to what many reviewers find in their
comparisons between 16bit and "high res" sources. "Improved staging,
better separation of instruments, better clarity, like a veil was
lifted".

Until or unless all 16 bit music is remastered in 24bit and offered for
download over the internet I don't see myself getting too excited about
it.

I would probably buy all my Beatles stuff again if it was available for
download in remastered 24bit, because its just part of the audiophile
hobby and pursuit. Why play 16 bit when 24 is available? Right now 24bit
is not available so its really a non issue unless you a classical or
jazz fan.

Its fun to think about and talk about just like it's fun to talk about
the difference between upsampleing and oversampling.
