To compound the problem very 24/96 releases are "for real"
AIX and some others have made some that is worthy.

Many DVD-A/SACD is no different from there CD counterpart.
If it as a difference ? Theres a different mix on the CD part,
otherwise you could compare and call their bluff.

If you are lucky you get a very good re release of some old analog
stuff without the "loudness race" mix thats so popular :) ( yes they do
clipped loudness race mixes for DVD-A too ) .
I've heard some good ones where they rolled in the original 24 track
and done a new mix.

But such a re release could also be done for CD but it's probably
selling better with a 24/96 hype .

I'm pleased and suprised that logitech got 24/96 on the new touch.
Good thing that they still care for the 0.0001 % market share.

The real loss is that 24/96 in 5.1 is freakishly good, but there we
have even less source material, there are better ways than stereo to
create a souncscape.
