Class D amplifiers don't like speakers which change their impedance depending on the frequency (ie most of the speakers, actually). There are some exceptions, though : http://www.hypex.nl/docs/classeD_393_lores.pdf http://www.hypex.nl/docs/classeD_394_lores.pdf
Nevertheless, we can reasonably expect that speakers with built-in amplifiers are the exception to this rule (probably because of the high feedback ?). Moreover, I've listened to several really good class-D amps. :) -- Themis SB3 - North Star dac 192 - Denon 3808 - Sonus Faber Grand Piano Domus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Themis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14700 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=67567 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
