Hi turbot fiend. At little late, I came across this thread. As I am interested in upgrading my SB set-up, I have looked around for a suitable small active speaker to be used in my small office with an SB Classic or Duet.
I have of course noticed the stir (or hype?) about Avi Adm 9. And I will clearly need to audition them. Then I am also interested in the small Dynaudio MC15 - probably with the sub. Have you had a chance to listen to both active speakers? I would really appreciate if you could write a bit about your impression of the two speakers. I will be using the speaker for two things: (1) General music enjoyment while I work - I always listen to music, and I take small breaks to really enjoy a piece of music or two. (2) A monitor speaker to check the quality of digitalized LPs. I own a high quality record played (Thorens fitted with a Morch UP-4 and a Denon 103r + phono stage) and two quality tape decks (B&O 9000 and 6500) so I would want the digitalized version to reflect that quality level. A short run-through of pro and cons would be perfect!
