Hi Phil,

Your post (above) sent me back to the beginning of this thread and a
full reread of the content.

If I understand the conclusion(s), then the Xilinx does a fantastic job
of passing data out to the SPDIF and the I2S bus.

I also freely admit to having some interesting but ultimately bogus
theories on how the Xilinx works. Oh well...;-)

Since I don't have my arms around the capabilities of ADM I would ask
you what I hope is not too dumb a question:

Could I use ADM on the analog out of the Duet receiver to evaluate
reductions in noise/jitter (if present) caused by cleaning up the master
clock or the power to the DAC, etc?

In other words I could A/B the stock clock vs. a supposedly low-noise
clock, etc? Would those types of changes show up? I'm hearing some
pretty wild claims on another thread and it would be good to separate
the delusions from the reality...
