No ADC currently available can actually record more than 20 bits of real dynamic range. More importantly, no microphone yet invented can capture that because of internal self-noise. 114dB of dynamic range is pretty much the max that can be captured by any ADC or microphone. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
