Jörg you are not alone : I know plenty of people who can't hear differences between dacs when outputs are aligned. I also know a lot of people who can't hear differences between amplifiers (provided they don't get out of specs) and the same about interconnects or speaker cables.
It is not a problem, nobody is at fault.
