Out of interest, do you have any power-conditioning devices or surge supressors attached to protect fom voltage spikes etc? I am dubious of the 'audiophile' type effects that are sometimes touted (though do think I can hear differences, I am well aware of my psycho-acoustics here so don't want to open up a debate )but I do think it prudent to try and provide a safe and reliable source of current to expensive devices. As you say - my Transporter is one of my most cherished possessions.
