robin what is it that would be wrong? i actually agree with you in most cases but there are some cable designs that can have a profound impact. it's really a tricky issue because many do more harm than good. i spent months listening to digital cables before i found this one (mit oracle ma-x). most were good, all sounded different but when i heard this cable my jaw hit the floor. i had no idea that there was that much work to be done...reducing ringing, jitter etc which i suppose is what this cable does. it really is hard to explain and until you actually hear it, i think i would be having the same reaction you are.
