You will still hear the DEQ in the path , bypoass or not.. As I said , the effects of bad bass will be magnitudes bigger as to it's effects on sonics than the "veil" is. If you want a truly transparent Par eq , get the Z-sys RDP-1 on ebay , that is a classy and VERY transparent unit I did a net review on one at http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/rdp1e.html I think Z0sys still supply digital eq stuff
