All the alternatives are much more expensive.

Also, you won't get a jitter-immune DAC for much less than £1,000.

Finally, even into a high-quality DAC IT STILL PAYS to use the cleanest
transport you can and that definitely means the Touch (assuming TP is
out of reach - and actually I seriously believe the Touch can equal the
TP as a transport).

The Benchmark is a good design but not everyone likes the sound - it's
a personal taste thing.

You shouldn't buy  a DAC based purely on specs or reviews.... just like
speakers...
