Just so you know, I run my Touch wired and always have done. Not for
any audio reasons, just for reliability.

Having said that, I've personally yet to hear any difference between
ethernet or wi-fi on an SB3 or Touch.

What's this "error correction inside the Touch" you refer to?

As for the volume control mod...

if you hear any difference at all, it means that your volume was not on
max (100) before. I've studied the code very carefully  - including the
debug test mentioned by Blue Gaspode - and there is no way that the
"mod" changes anything that can be audible... UNLESS your volume was
not on max before, in which case you will indeed hear a big
"improvement"!
