For Squeezeplay fixing volume and 100% volume is the same thing have a look at the code. it essentially just set the same value in the same place .
But squeezeplay has some remaining issues , there is a bug when the web-UI still can change the volume even if it's fixed . And replay gain still affects the volume via some compiled c code in the code and so does crossfade , I've forget where in the code you can find it. So for Squeezeplay using the method described by Peterw is the best so far as it at least stops the web-UI from having an influence . And then the user has to turn off Volume adjustment and crossfade. You can leave crossfade on if don't use HDCD DTS or DD rips if you like the effect, but if we are hifi nuts we turn that off to as the track was not meant to sound that way ;) If the artis wanted a fade they had done so themselfs. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe' Primare and Dynadio speakers, Contour 4 Contour Center, and Contour 1.3SE rear ch.
