@rgro. You brought up some good points.

I do also see quite some coloration in Phils expressed conclusions and
opinions. I am not in the position to question the tool he has been
using to run the tests. Though I'm questioning the method he is running
the tests. Of course to read Phils latest comment "The irony is that
ADM struggles somewhat with mechanical replay systems (CD, Vinyl, Tape)
because they don't produce exactly the same output each time - whereas,
it works very well with hard disk playback!" makes me wonder what this
tool is capable of.

Anyhow, compared to Phils earlier statements and position though, I do
see a decent development into a more neutral direction.

>From an engineering perspective his tests are irrelevant. He is
comparing apples and pears. That he knows. He could have even PMd me
for supporting and discussing his efforts - offline - first. He
didn't.
That's what I do e.g. with John Svensson once in a while.

However. I do not intend do dissect Phils method the way he is
dissecting my toolbox.

One thing I'd still like to mention though:

What sense does it make to run the mods with highest impact last? I do
understand that this would be the way how you'd install them.

Everybody understands that, if you're going to dissect all - no
actually not all, just a few - of my mods - respectively cumulative
mods in general - you'd apply highest impact mods first. If you have
a towel and a carpet in front of your speakers -- it doesn't make sense
to remove the towel first.

When it comes to magiccarpetride. I 100% support him.
He is one of the very few ones over here having the guts to support me
and my efforts.

To conclude:

Phils test at least show for the analog output that something is
happening.
I never claimed anything else. I also always said the impact will
differ from system to system, from person to person. It's all
relative.

Enjoy.
