I've seen him live quite a few times in the last 20 years, and I can
assure you that he played more notes in the 90's than he did in the
70's and 80's combined.

Anyway, It's not about how many notes...

Leave him alone - he's played on some great albums (Bluesbreakers,
Disraeli Gears, Layla), he's conquered his personal demons and he is
still alive, gigging and doing sterling work for charity.
