Yes and those web postings are on 'this' forum with evidence that using
something like a Teddy PSU - costing a good deal more than a netbook
alone - can significantly improve the sound quality. So perhaps there
must be something in it. I know in audiophile circles that upgrading
the mains (or isolating altogether if possible) is one of the first
places to address for noticeable improvements in sound.

Yes Phil - I was considering using Foobar 2000 as player software
because of its respect in the audiophile community - plus you can get
the Foobar remote on Android now. I understand that Foobar can bypass
all the internal sound card and computer volume limitations by passing
the stream directly out of the USB ports for the DAC or converter to
deal with (I might be wrong however). Foobar is not as feature rich as
the SB software which I why I would like to run SB software on the
netbook and still use the excellent Android Squeeze Commander to
control it.

And sample rate support is kinda low on my list of priorities seeing as
nearly all my collection is 16 bit.
