Yes it is out-of-stock as the MKII succesor is on its way and will be available somewhere in september. It is a superb device that can easily compete with devices twice as expensive. The new one will be approx $1100 so that will be in a totally different league. But good news is that because of the new model comming out is that the current model is offered second-hand by more-and-more people who want to upgrade. The new model though can do high quality asynchronous sync for USB also. Others only offer 16/44kHz for USB and higher for other interfaces. I bought the minimax to upgrade the DacMagic. The DacMagic provided at lot more over the SB3 but when I upgraded the SB3 to the Touch the improvement with the DacMagic was little. Only a slightly better soundstage. With the minimax, the soundstage is huge and the improvement over bass control is just stunning.
