and for now, focus on internet radio or pandora. the messages you're getting from podcasts could be other issues (wrong address for podcast, etc.)
keep it simple until you can get some sound from the transporter. Sorry to hear of your problems setting this up. I had my transporter up and running, playing music within about 5 minutes.
