Last week i tested at home one S-booster. I have DIY PS with Teddy Superreg build according to Teddy Pardo instructions and SBT with Soundcheck Toolbox 2.0 and priority tweaks from http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89359
SPDIF with a good cable from Blue Jeans cable is feeding Buffalo II DAC. In my case with s-booster the sound became brighter with less deep bass. There was a little more space and details, but the sound was not so pleasant as without S-booster, so i gave it back. I think it depends on your system and your taste.
