I can recommend the Benchmark DAC-1 HDR. Lots of functionality (high
performance DAC, custom ALPS potentiometer, 3 SPDIF coax inputs, 1
SPDIF optical input, plug-and-play USB audio, input jitter elimination,
pre with RCA input, RCA and balanced output, headphone amp with two
outputs...and yes a remote!) No complaints about the sound, I've
stopped worrying about that end of the system.
