I have had a similar problem when trying to transcode to MP3 to SqueezePlay on my Samsung Ace smartphone: my Synology NAS was using about 97% CPU for LAME transcoding and the remaining throughput for streaming was so ridiculously low that the playback buffer got empty every few seconds. After disabling MP3 transcoding for SqueezePlay, everything was playing smoothly again. Maybe the transcoding has been set on by accident for your SBT. Look at Player/Audio settings for your SBT and check that no rate limit has been set (please refer to TT3.0 server installation for correct settings). Though this has nothing to do with TT3.0 anyway. Otherwize you may also have a look at your CPU resources to check whether any process is consuming too much CPU. This may help to find the issue.
