I have a similar set up as yours in my bedroom system (see below). It
sounds better than ever with TT3.0. But it still does not come close to
the realism of my main system, also with TT3.0, which includes an
external DAC etc.

It's hard to say whether using the Touch's digital out into a good DAC
would give you the sound you're looking for. What are your preferences
for "better" sound? What type of music do you listen to? Even knowing
more about these items, it is you who must be satisfied by any changes
to your system.

So, perhaps the best way is for you to borrow a good DAC (or two) that
you can try out and listen to. Then trust your ears!
