Unfortunately the DAC borrowing isn't an option.

My Pioneer has a higher spec'd Burr-Brown DAC than the Touch and with
its' implementation produces excellent audio on the analogs, much
better than the Touch even after the cap mod. Lossless streaming to the
Touch is inferior vs. it's CD counterpart on the Pioneer. The AKM is
great, just not better.

I am wondering if switching to digital and a higher resolution DAC
would bring me closer to the audio of the Pio.
