audiolab and Musical fidelity is well known contenders good luck :) have
not heard any of them lately

MF did some realy wierd voodo hifi in the companys infancy but nowadays
they seems to do solid engineering ( if you look away from thier
mystical nuvistor offering a couple of years ago ).

Report back your findings :) not many people are doing so many home
trails of DAC's they usually stick to what they mailordered and
rationalize afterwards why it was so good.

Soon you have tried 3 different dacs in the system !

Try to evalute with the same acoustical volume ( a DAC may have higher
or lower electrical output than the Touch ) .

Try with yor best recordings , acoustically recorded and played music .
The latest ubercompresed hits does actually sound the same on everything
