audiolab and Musical fidelity is well known contenders good luck :) have not heard any of them lately
MF did some realy wierd voodo hifi in the companys infancy but nowadays they seems to do solid engineering ( if you look away from thier mystical nuvistor offering a couple of years ago ). Report back your findings :) not many people are doing so many home trails of DAC's they usually stick to what they mailordered and rationalize afterwards why it was so good. Soon you have tried 3 different dacs in the system ! Try to evalute with the same acoustical volume ( a DAC may have higher or lower electrical output than the Touch ) . Try with yor best recordings , acoustically recorded and played music . The latest ubercompresed hits does actually sound the same on everything :-/ -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
