manufactoring in rpc is ok , given good qc Audiolab is still a good
brand they where resurected from the mclaren mess rigth :)
And before that they where a trusted brand.

My snide comment about chinese brands is about the obvoius inflation of
what looks like high end gear from new brands like vincent or whatever
they call themselfs this week.

If someone produce their pcb in china thats all well and god given that
you know how it works.
Keeps cost down like the the Touch it's made in china and bougth 3 of
them .

just be aware that they are the worlds oldest mercantile culture 4000
years they know how to make money
the lapse in to comunism was only a fluke, audiophiles usaully don't
know real sq if it bite them in their behind why provide that if it is
a cost. The mission is to sell stuff.

the classic british brands still have something to say about real SQ
and that is an asset too so they live on that reputation and are
probably very keen on keping it so.

The same goes for other classic brands from US or other coyntries thier
whole reputation is sound quality and manufactoring quality
They may otsource but they are keen on keeping some standards.

sorry for the general cynism and dystopian outlook btw I don't mean to
crash the party
