1) 1988 - head of Engineering and head of Marketing(!) came to install my new Linn Aktive system (one the first 10 installed ever)- OK so it wasn't Ivor himself, but I was impressed!. They spent the whole evening playing vinyl after they had ripped the speakers apart to remove the passive crossovers and put them back together.
