Does it have spdif or ToS link ? The trusted Cambridge DacMagic 100 . This is cheap but not dirt cheap , and it has one of the fabled async USB 2.0 ports that the audiophiles fancy and all normal inputs as spdif and tos if you make that USB work your squirtbox design migth get even more popular :)
